What is Knee Preservation?
Knee Preservation is a concept on maintaining the health and function of the native knee joint through early diagnosis and targeted treatment. Rather than replacing the joint, these approaches aim to address the underlying causes of knee pain and degeneration.
Joint-preserving strategies — including osteotomy, cartilage restoration, meniscal preservation, ligament reconstruction, and structured rehabilitation — aim to restore joint biomechanics, relieve symptoms, and slow disease progression. Through careful patient selection and personalized treatment planning, advances in surgical techniques now enable more individuals to maintain long-term knee function and quality of life.
